44th Appletime Fiddle & Banjo Contest

Join us at the reknowned Murphysboro Apple Festival for the 44th annual Appletime Fiddle and Banjo Contest! Enjoy a performance from the award winning “Friends of Bluegrass” or enter in the competition to see if you have what it takes to be crowned the winner! This is a free event. Soda, candy, and popcorn will be available for their normal prices at the Liberty Theater concession stand.

• 5:00p - 6:00p - Registration & Blue Grass Music Show
• 6:00p - 8:00p - Fiddle & Banjo Contest 
• 8:00p - 8:30p Final Round Contest 
• 8:30p - 9:00p Award Presentations

CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Registration opens at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Enjoy a performance from the "Friends of Bluegrass" during registration!
2. No entry fee is required.
3. Contestants must be prepared to play one waltz, one hoedown, and one song of their choice.
4. No more than three accompanists will be allowed.
5. Junior Division participant must be under 20 years of age.
6. All judges’ decisions are final.
